How To Use
How to use and care for cast iron
1- Wash with soap and water, and dry with a towel
2- Place the clean and dry cast iron pot over low heat on the stovetop to complete the drying process.
3-Turn off the heat and add a small amount of vegetable oil to the frying pan. Good options are grapeseed, flaxseed, or regular vegetable oil. Using a thick wad of paper towels to protect your hands from the heat, rub the oil all over the inside and outside of the pan. Wipe off any excess oil until you leave a very thin layer. Anything thicker will turn sticky
4- Place the tray upside down on the middle rack of the oven. 260-300 degrees. Place a baking sheet on the rack underneath to catch any oil drips. Let the pan bake for 20 minutes.
5- Repeat the steps twice to obtain a good insulation layer.
Remember: Use only a small amount of oil at a time so you don't stain the pan.
